Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan will attend the opening on Saturday
DUBAI – The inaugural ‘Emirates Loves Palestine’ event will open on Saturday, August 29, at Dubai Exhibition Centre in Expo City Dubai, bringing together more than 20,000 expected participants.
Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, is scheduled to attend the opening. The event will spotlight Palestinian culture, heritage and community contributions in the UAE.
Organised by the ‘Emirates Loves Palestine’ page in partnership with the UAE-Palestinian Friendship Club and the Palestinian Business Council - Dubai & Northern Emirates, the event is part of the wider ‘Emirates Loves’ series. The initiative celebrates resident communities and their cultures, heritage and contributions to UAE society.
Emirates Loves Palestine
The first edition will focus on strengthening social and cultural ties while highlighting the longstanding friendship between the Emirati and Palestinian peoples. Performances will span Palestinian songs, music, folk arts and comedy.
Palestinian singer Mohammed Assaf and comedian Imad Farajin are among the participating artists, alongside other artistic and community figures.
Palestinian heritage
Visitors will also find dedicated areas featuring Palestinian heritage, traditional crafts and arts. A platform for homegrown projects by members of the Palestinian community will provide space to showcase local initiatives and talent.
Traditional Palestinian cuisine will form another part of the event, adding a culinary dimension to the cultural programme.
The event will take place in a community setting reflecting the UAE’s emphasis on tolerance, coexistence and cultural diversity, with activities designed to bring residents together through shared cultural experiences.
